This retreat is dedicated to our grounding roots and our seasonal rebirth. The firmer we are anchored in our feet and body, the lighter and freer we can rise. The Sanskrit “kūrma” means “turtle” and symbolises the foundation that firmly supports everything, exactly as our feet do. The foundation’s strength and stability produce balance in the body and in the mind. Grounding begins from the feet, builds through our whole body, our emotions, our thoughts, our acceptance of ourselves and the world around us.
We invite you to join us to explore your body and your whole self through a firm connection with the Earth.
Martina Cova is a yoga teacher and physiotherapist. She started practicing yoga more than 18 years ago, at the age of 12, dedicating herself to Hatha yoga for the first 10 years and then approaching Ashtanga yoga. Her insights, acquired through yoga and physiotherapy, allowed her to further deepen her practice and to use it as a restorative therapy. Based on this experience, Martina founded the Physio Yoga Project (www.physioyogaproject.it), which aims at increasing the awareness of one’s body and deciphering its signals in order to cure it and build lasting health. Her approach is playfully mindful, scientifically experiential, and carefully personal.
Martina will guide you in a practice where yoga becomes a means of healing and a tool to increase your awareness and well-being.
